We will use the acronym GROW to represent four key thematic axes essential to urban development:

Resilient Governance
• Explore effective urban management, policy-making, and strategic planning.

Opportunities for People
• Address the role of urban spaces in promoting play, health, and economic opportunities.
• Highlight initiatives that improve quality of life for all city residents.

Specifications for the Educational Session Proposals
1. If the proposal is accepted, the presenter must agree to share their presentation (visual support material) when indicated, as this material will be made public on the World Urban Parks web platform after the symposium dates.
2. World Urban Parks reserves the right to designate the speaking time for the selected proposals.
3. We encourage the distribution of this call for educational sessions.
4. The Evaluation Committee reserves the right to make final presentation selections, edit descriptions, and presenter biographies.
5. By submitting a proposal for consideration, you agree to be present and participate in person as proposed, if accepted.
6. Additional information regarding presentation logistics and conference details will be sent to all selected presenters.
7. Questions about the type of session, size, format, and audience selection aim to ensure a diversity of topics and session styles. We strive to accommodate your preferences for session style and audience size. However, due to the symposium format, attendance levels at any session cannot be guaranteed.

Educational Session Proposal Process
1. Read the guidelines.
2. Review the instructions for submitting your proposal.
3. Complete the proposal submission form: Submitting a proposal does not guarantee acceptance or conference registration.
4. Await the results: You will receive the results of the call for proposals on the dates established, directly to the email provided in the form.
Completing Your Proposal
1. Presenter Information
Personal Details: Ensure you provide accurate and complete personal details for all presenters. This includes names, contact information, and professional titles.
Photo: Upload a high-quality, color photo that clearly shows your face and shoulders.
2. Educational Session Details
Title of the Session: Create a compelling title that captures the essence of your session. It should be no more than 12 words.
Thematic Axis: Select the thematic axis that best aligns with your project and proposal.
Description: Provide a clear and concise description of your session in 200 words or less. This description will be used on our website if your session is selected, so make sure it is engaging and inviting for potential attendees.
Justification: Explain the importance of your proposal by identifying how your project, initiative, or research addresses a problem related to public space and how it relates to the conference themes. There is no word limit for this section.
Objectives: List at least three clear and measurable learning objectives for your session. These should outline what attendees will learn from your session.
3. Strengthening Your Proposal, Supporting Resources:
Add up to three links to various resources that support your proposal. These can include videos, research papers, articles, news items, or any other relevant information that will aid in the evaluation of your proposal.
